Nearly six months after his last court appearance, a 29-year-old Baltimore man accused of murder in 2020 is set for trial this July, three days after the anniversary of the shooting.

In Baltimore City Circuit Court on Jan. 24, the prosecution reiterated a plea offer that was first shared with Travion White in August 2021 for life, suspending all but 50 years, with five years probation for first-degree murder and a concurrent 20 years for firearm use in a felony violent crime.

He is also charged with having a handgun in a vehicle.

Defense attorney John Hassett, once again, rejected the offer on his client’s behalf.

Counsel agreed on a trial date of July 11, with Judge Yolanda A. Tanner presiding.

White is accused of allegedly shooting and killing a 28-year-old man around 7:45 p.m. on the 100 block of N. Kossuth Street on July 8, 2020, according to CBS Baltimore.
