14-Year-Old Walk-In Shooting Victim Reported in Western District

Detectives for the Baltimore Police Department ‘s (BPD) Western District is seeking answers related to a non-fatal shooting of a female teen on Dec. 22.

On Thursday, at approximately 1:50 a.m., patrol officers responded to a local hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 14-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was a passenger in a vehicle, driving through the 1700 block of West Baltimore Street, when she was shot. Investigators do not believe the victim was the intended target.
