Southern District shooting detectives for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) are investigating the shooting of a 27-year-old female on Jan. 4.
On Wednesday, at approximately 9:23 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 2700 block of Spelman Road for a report of a shooting.
Once there, officers located the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was driving in the 2700 block of Spelman Road, when she was shot by an unidentified suspect.
