A 29-year-old woman who crashed into a vehicle, killing the driver has been deemed competent to stand trial before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale E. Rasin on March 2.

Delisa Ann Dello-Stritto is charged with  vehicular manslaughter, neglected vehicular manslaughter, four counts of traffic violations, second-degree assault, theft between $10,000 and  $100,000, and car theft in connection to an incident on March 21, 2020.

During mental health court, Judge Rasin indicated that it was necessary for Dello-Stritto to continue to follow a medication regimen in order to maintain competency. Judge Rasin signed an order, effective immediately, that Dello-Stritto is required to stay at the hospital.

Dello-Stritto’s defense attorney, Judit Otvos, requested that she be allowed to go back to the jail.

According to the Baltimore Sun, a police officer was alerted of a stolen 2014 Ford Fusion from Pennsylvania that was found using GPS at a gas station on West Patapsco Avenue in March 2020. Additional officers arrived and attempted to box in the vehicle; however, Dello-Stritto then put the vehicle in reverse and hit a police vehicle while driving out of the gas station.

Before setting a trial date, Judge Rasin wants to talk with the prosecution.
