A 29-year-old mother accused of attempted murder was released on home detention earlier this month prior to her trial in March 2023.
During a hearing on Nov. 4 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Jones, defense counsel argued for the release of Pierrerea Henry in connection to the shooting of her child’s father on Feb. 15.
Baltimore Witness previously reported that Henry and co-defendant Alvin Cunningham were arguing with the victim when Cunningham allegedly fired a gunshot into the back of the victim’s car after a physical altercation.
Henry and Cunningham are both facing multiple counts of attempted murder, assault, and weapons charges.
Henry’s defense counsel informed the court that his client was the least dangerous of those involved and had recently had a baby. The prosecutor agreed with the defense’s request to release the defendant on home detention, which the judge permitted in addition to requiring she has no contact with the victim or Cunningham.
Henry is scheduled for trial on March 27, 2023.
