Western District Detectives Open Investigation into Pennsylvania Avenue Shooting Homicide

On July 11, at approximately 2:41 a.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive Jonathan Williams suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to his head. Medics responded and pronounced Williams, 37, deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
