Moped Driver Killed in Vehicle Crash on MLK Boulevard

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) is investigating a fatal vehicle crash in the Southern District.

On June 21, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard to investigate a report of a serious pedestrian-involved vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that an unidentified adult man riding a moped had been struck by a 2014 Nissan Altima. According to police, the moped driver had crossed in front of the Nissan.

The moped driver was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene of the crash.

Crash Team detectives are currently investigating the incident.
