The Baltimore Police Department updated the public June 14 about a homicide that took place on June 3 on the 1900 block of 20th Street.
According to a press release, the name of the victim is Ali Bey. The 47-year-old man was allegedly shot by Baltimore resident Shawn Purvis, 57, who was charged with first-degree murder.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 29.
