The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the morning of Feb. 11.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 1800 block of Ashburton Street at approximately 9:51 a.m. for a shot spotter alert, where they found 54-year-old Ahnmad Artis suffering from a gunshot wound.
The medics took the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators, at 410-396-2100.
