The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the early morning of July 23.
According to a news release, officers were called for an unresponsive man on the 3400 block of 7th Street around 1:47 a.m., where 43-year-old Jose Vera Garcia was found sitting on the curb, slumped over suffering from gunshot wounds.
Baltimore City medics arrived and attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful. Medics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives responded out and are investigating this incident.
