Pretrial conferences for two men charged in separate murders were postponed on Sept. 30 due to changes in defense attorneys.

His defense attorney, Roland Harris, had recently been assigned this case from the Office of the Public Defender.

Bennett’s next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 19.

Khalil Cloude, 20, is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, and possession of a fiream as a minor for the fatal shooting of Mikal Mayo on the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane on Dec. 1, 2020.

Cloude’s attorney, Derrick Hamlin, had also recently been assigned this case from the Office of the Public Defender.
