The trial of “Charm City Kings” actress Lakeyria Doughty was postponed six months on Dec. 20, despite originally being scheduled to begin on Monday.
Lakeyria Doughty, a 27-year-old Baltimore dirt bike rider known as the “Wheelie Queen,” is charged with first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure in connection to the fatal stabbing of her girlfriend, 33-year-old Tiffany Wilson, on Jan. 1.
During reception court on Monday, defense attorney Andrea Jaskulsky informed Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn that counsel required a postponement due to a family emergency on behalf of the prosecution.
Judge Phinn approved the postponement and scheduled a new trial date for June 21, 2022.
Doughty, who refused to attend her court appearance via Zoom on Monday, previously rejected a plea in August.
