Trial for Attempted Murder Defendant Pushed Due to Pending Drug Case

The jury trial of attempted murder suspect Daquan Allen was postponed for the second time as counsel proceeded to trial for drug-related charges against the defendant in another case.

Allen, 24, is charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, armed robbery, robbery, assault, and weapons charges in connection to an incident on April 24, 2022. The defendant began his trial for drug trafficking on Feb. 3, pushing his attempted murder case to Feb. 22.

Defense attorney Amanda Savage will represent Allen in both cases.
