On Oct. 26, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn set a trial date for a Baltimore man charged with first-degree murder.
William Brown is charged with first-degree murder, manslaughter, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and having a deadly weapon with the intent to injure in connection with the shooting death of 37-year-old Dominic Bullock on April 26.
According to a news release from the Baltimore Police Department, Southeast District officers were called to the 500 block of North Highland Avenue on the date of the incident and located the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead.
The prosecutor on Wednesday reported that they had no plea to offer Brown, 30, due to the severity of the charges against him.
Brown opted to maintain his Hick’s date, which is his right to be tried within 180 days of his or his attorney’s first court appearance, but the judge found probable cause to go beyond his date of Nov. 29, 2022.
Judge Phinn scheduled Brown’s trial for March 13, 2023, with Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Videtta Brown presiding. His trial is expected to last four days.
