Teenager Shot in Leg on McElderry Street

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the afternoon of June 22. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 2700 block of McElderry Street around 12:13 p.m. for a shot spotter alert, where there was evidence of gunfire. A short time later, officers received information about a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot to the leg walking into a nearby hospital seeking treatment. 

Southeast District Shooting detectives were summoned and assumed control over the investigation.  Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2422.
