Teenager Shot in Chest on S. Charles Street

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the late afternoon on May 13. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 1000 block of S. Charles Street around 4 p.m. for reports of a shooting, where they found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot to the chest. 

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is in serious condition.

A preliminary revealed the victim was inside a restaurant arguing with another male (suspect) when the suspect walked out of the restaurant.  A short time later, the suspect returned with a firearm and shot the victim before fleeing the location.

Southern District shooting detectives responded and are investigating this incident.
