The Baltimore Police Department have arrested a 17-year-old male suspect for shooting and killing 52-year-old Daniel Pitts after a possible road rage incident on April 14.
The 17-year-old male suspect, who is no stranger to Southern District Action Team officers, was arrested on April 24, 2022.
According to a press release, Southern District officers were called to the 6200 block of Pennington Avenue around 12:48 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 52-year-old Daniel Pitts suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head inside of a vehicle.
Medics pronounced Pitts dead on the scene.
Detectives transported the 17-year-old male suspect to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged as an adult with first-degree murder, providing a false statement to officers, having a handgun on his person and having a loaded handgun in a vehicle.
