The defendant in a 2021 Fords Lane murder case was found guilty on July 25 in Baltimore City Circuit Court.
A jury concluded that William Holloman, 19, killed 31-year-old Efraim Gordon on May 3, 2021, on the 3700 block of Fords Lane.
The jury also found Holloman guilty of attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, firearm use in a felony violent crime, conspiracy to use a firearm in a felony violent crime and carrying a handgun. Holloman was found not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.
Throughout the trial, the prosecution argued Holloman’s guilt by stating that he was identified on video and eyewitnesses saw someone that looked like him commit the murder.
The prosecutor reminded the jury that Holloman was identified in the video by two of his co-defendants when they testified and that a witness to the murder said that three African-American men ran away from the area after the gun was fired.
Holloman’s defense attorney Roya Hanna stated throughout the trial that eyewitnesses could have confused Holloman with someone else.
Holloman’s sentencing is set for Dec. 2. His case was heard in front of Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
