Teen Driver Kills Man on Scooter in Pulaski Highway Hit and Run

On July 23, at approximately 9:57 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 3500 block of Pulaski Highway, for a report of a pedestrian involved hit and run.

Once there, Baltimore Police Department officers learned that the driver of a 2009 Mazda struck a 31-year-old male driving an electric scooter. The driver of the Mazda did not remain on the scene but was quickly located a short time later on the 2800 block of Jefferson Street by a Southeast District Action Team Sergeant.

The 16-year-old driver was arrested and transported to the Department of Juvenile Services, where he was charged.

The 31-year-old scooter driver died at an area hospital.

Crash Team Detectives are investigating this incident.
