Once there, Baltimore Police Department officers learned that the driver of a 2009 Mazda struck a 31-year-old male driving an electric scooter. The driver of the Mazda did not remain on the scene but was quickly located a short time later on the 2800 block of Jefferson Street by a Southeast District Action Team Sergeant.
The 16-year-old driver was arrested and transported to the Department of Juvenile Services, where he was charged.
The 31-year-old scooter driver died at an area hospital.
