Stephanie Landaverde is a senior studying criminal justice student at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is from Columbia, Md., and very interested in advocacy and research development in the federal government, where she aims to coordinate projects and provide insight for the best implementation method to help improve the criminal justice system.
When applying for Baltimore Witness, she was most interested in the goal to increase transparency to the criminal justice system for the city and its residents, undoubtedly serving as a great example for other areas outside of Maryland. She is looking forward to gaining a deeper insight about the criminal justice system from court employees as well as defendants and victims.
