The Baltimore Police Department reported July 12 that a suspect was arrested for fatally shooting 34-year-old Anthony Cain Jr. on July 8 on the 1600 block of Cliftview Avenue.
According to a press release, officers on patrol on July 9 found Trayon Waters standing at the corner of Harford Road and Cliftview Avenue, just a few blocks from Cain’s killing.
Waters, 37, was taken to central booking, where he has been charged with first-degree murder.
As of Monday, there have been 182 homicides in Baltimore in 2021.
