On Sept. 15, at approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Dr. Benjamin Quarles Place to investigate a call for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment to his injury. The victim is listed in critical condition.
Southwest District detectives responded. Due to the victim’s condition, homicide detectives were notified.
