On July 26, at around 4:52 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 1800 block of West Saratoga Street to investigate calls for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 14-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound in the rear alley of the 1800 block of West Saratoga Street. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injury. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot on the 200 block of North Payton Street. 

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
