Southern District Officers Open Investigation into Shooting Homicide

On Aug. 27, at approximately 10:03 a.m., officers were patrolling on the 600 block Arsan Avenue when they heard discharging.

Upon canvassing the area, officers located 60-year-old William Reed suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds on the 600 block of Annabel Avenue. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that this incident had occurred on the 600 block of Annabel Avenue.

Due to the victim’s condition, homicide detectives were notified.

The BPD announced that on Sept. 4, Reed died from his injuries.
