Southern District Officers Arrest Suspect in South Monroe Street Attempted Murder Case

On June 22, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Warrant Apprehension Task Force and Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force members arrested 28-year-old Deon Hudson of Baltimore on the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike in Baltimore County.

Detectives believe that Hudson shot a 33-year-old male on May 28, on the 200 block of South Monroe Street.

Deon Hudson was transported to the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Facility, where he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and various handgun violations.

On May 28, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Southern District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the 1100 block of Dover Street for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred on the 200 block of South Monroe Street, where a crime scene was located.
