Southern District Looking into Shooting of Unknown Man near South Hanover Street

The Southern District of the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Dec. 12.

On Monday, at approximately 12:43 p.m., a patrol officer was in the area of the 3600 block of South Hanover Street when the officer heard discharging.

A short time later, the officer observed an unknown male victim running from an armed suspect.

The victim fell to ground after being shot in the back and the suspect fled the location on foot.

Medics responded and transported the victim to an area hospital.

Southern District shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
