A Nottingham man charged with the attempted murder of a 62-year-old man over the summer made his first appearance in Baltimore City Circuit Court on Sept. 19.
Walter Jeremy Bush is facing more than a dozen charges in connection to the non-fatal shooting that occurred just before midnight on July 17 along the 3200 block of Greenmount Avenue. These charges include conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, reckless endangerment, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person and related conspiracy charges.
During Thursday’s reception court, Judge Melissa M. Phinn presented the charges to Bush and informed Bush of his right to an attorney. The defendant was scheduled to return to reception court on Nov. 27.
According to a press release from the Baltimore Police Department earlier this year, Bush and his co-defendant, 18-year-old Quincee Moon, were arrested five days after the shooting in the city’s Abell neighborhood. Police were called to the area at 11:39 p.m. and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the press release states.
The Maryland Judiciary website currently has Moon set to appear in reception court with Bush in November.
