The case of a Baltimore man involved in a non-fatal shooting was not called on Oct. 22, despite being scheduled on the docket for reception court before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn

The 32-year-old defendant was scheduled to have his case heard on Friday; however neither the prosecution nor the defense attorney, Avie Stone, discussed the case during the three-hour court proceeding. 

The defendant is charged with four counts of first-degree assault, eight counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of use of a firearm in a violent crime, having a handgun on his person, thirteen counts of fourth-degree burglary, twelve counts of malicious destruction of property valued at $1,000, four counts of discharging a firearm within the city, second-degree assault, and possession of marijuana.

He was charged in connection to an incident on April 16, 2020. 

Winston is currently scheduled for trial on April 25, 2022, according to the Maryland Judiciary website.
