Reports of Suspicious Package Leads Police to Discover Deceased Man in Storage Container

The Baltimore Police Department’s (BPD) Western District homicide detectives are looking into the discovery of a dead body on Holmes Avenue.

On January 5, 2023, at approximately 1:56 p.m., Western District patrol officers were called to the 3500 block of Holmes Avenue for a report of a suspicious package.

Once there, officers located a storage container on the porch of a vacant dwelling, emanating a foul smell. Upon further investigation of the container, investigators located a deceased body.

The victim’s remains were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office where the death was ruled as a homicide on Jan. 6. The manner of death was stabbing.

The victim was later identified as 33-year-old Dustin Davis.
