According to the prosecution, a defendant’s sentencing hearing was postponed on Feb. 13 due to pending matters unknown to Baltimore Witness.

Defense lawyer Natalie Finegar appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Videtta Brown on Monday to represent her client Brandi Burrows.

Burrows pleaded guilty to two separate cases on Sept. 26, 2022, one being for the murder of 24-year-old Tyrell Johnson-Woods committed on June 18, 2021, and the second case for firearm possession with a felony conviction for an incident that occurred on June 30, 2021.

The prosecution’s stand-in said that the assistant state’s attorney assigned to the case intended to ask for a postponement until the end of the year.

Judge Brown, however, was unsure about postponing the case for that long and instead ordered all parties to reconvene on May 10.
