Prosecution Unable to Find Witnesses, Dismisses Homicide Case

The case against 42-year-old Dominic Boyd was dismissed on Jan. 5 in connection to a homicide from June 2020.

Defense attorney Staci Pipkin told Baltimore Witness on Thursday morning that the prosecution dismissed the first-degree murder and four weapons charges against Boyd as the necessary witnesses could not be located.

Boyd has remained adamant about his innocence since the incident occurred on June 6, 2020. According to court documents, around 2:45 a.m., Baltimore Police were called to the 500 block of North Bouldin Street and found David Nickelson with a gunshot wound nearby on the 3300 block of Jefferson Street.

Nickelson died about 30 minutes later.
