An attempted murder defendant, who was scheduled to start his trial on Dec. 12, had his hearing pushed to March before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn due to two outstanding motions.

The defense attorney representing Joseph Harris said there were two motions the prosecutor needed to address regarding DNA evidence.

Judge Phinn scheduled for all parties to reconvene on March 16, 2023, before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland to address the two motions.

Harris, 37, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, reckless, endangerment, having a handgun on his person, discharging a gun in Baltimore, and two counts of carrying a gun within 100 yards of Baltimore in connection with a non-fatal shooting on April 18, 2019.
