The trial set for a 21-year-old shooter was dismissed on Nov 8. at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
The defendant was charged with first and second-degree assault, multiple counts of first and second-degree conspiracy to assault and reckless endangerment, as well as having a handgun on his person, firearm use felony of a violent crime, and discharging firearms.
No details of the alleged crime were disclosed to the court.
The defendant was set for trial on Nov. 8, but the prosecution dismissed the case and re-indicted Richardson under a new case number.
Defense attorney Martin Cohen told Judge Phillip Jackson that he believed the defendant’s trial would be very quick and that there was no reason to delay the trial. However, Judge Jackson said he couldn’t rule over the state’s dismissal of the case.
