Police Find 2 Victims in Southern District Shooting

On Oct. 24, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Southern District officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Sidney Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers responded to the location and observed a 54-year-old Regina Claggett Brown suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and a 24-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Brown was later pronounced deceased at the hospital and the male victim is listed in stable condition.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and have now assumed control of the investigation.
