On Jan. 17, officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) arrested 18-year-old Devin Wilson and charged him with the murder of 8-year-old Dylan King.
Wilson was transported to the Department of Public Safety’s Central Booking and Intake Center, where he was formally charged with first-degree murder.
On Dec. 30, 2022, at approximately 5:06 p.m., Western District patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 2100 block of Presbury Street to investigate a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the location, they observed 8-year-old Dylan King suffering from trauma sustained by a firearm.
Medics transported Dylan to John’s Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel a short time later.
Through the course of their investigation, homicide detectives were able to identify a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant.
