Police Announce Curtis Bay Shooting Occurred Outside Baltimore

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an update regarding a shooting investigation initially reported within Baltimore City. 

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the case occurred outside of Baltimore City's jurisdiction and has been removed from the city's non-fatal shooting totals.

The initial report stated that on Feb. 17, at approximately 9:48 p.m., officers were dispatched to an area hospital concerning a victim seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was shot while in the 4800 block of Curtis Avenue.

Southern District shooting detectives assumed control over the investigation.
