On Aug. 15, at approximately 11:45 p.m. Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1300 block of Joh Avenue for a report of a pedestrian involved hit & run.
Once there, officers learned that an adult male victim was walking northbound along the bridge that goes over I-95/ 1300 Joh Avenue. The victim stepped off the sidewalk into the street and was struck by a vehicle.
The suspect’s vehicle did not stop but continued westbound on Joh Avenue, fleeing from the scene.
Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead.
Crash Team detectives are investigating this incident.
