On Aug. 20, at approximately 3:05 a.m., officers responded to reports of a discharging and a ShotSpotter alert.
Once on scene, officers discovered two victims, 25-year-old Navontay Whitener and a 26-year-old female, on the 800 block of Guilford Avenue.
First aid was rendered. However, the male victim were pronounced deceased a short time later. The female victim, who was lated identified as Kashay Davis died from her injuries on Aug. 21.
Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
