On May 27, at approximately 7:57 p.m., Eastern District Action Team members with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) arrested 27-year-old Devin Wallace of Baltimore in the 500 block of North Glover Street.
Officers believe that Wallace shot and killed 20-year-old Jerric Michie on April 7, 2022, on the 2400 block of East Monument Street.
Wallace was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and various handgun violations.
On April 4, at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of North Milton Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.
Upon arrival, officers located Michie suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. Medics transported Michie to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Moments later, officers patrolling at the intersection of Montford and Jefferson Street were approached by a 27-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he received treatment for his injury.
