On Sept 18, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland set the trial date for the Delano Court murder case involving 28-year-old defendant Freddie Pernel Pritchett.
Pritchett is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and firearm use in a felony or violent crime.
Charging documents indicate that on Monday, July 17th, 2023 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Cody Shaw. 37 was shot and killed in a residence on the 1600 block of Delano Court. Another victim was shot and wounded in the same incident.
Extensive review of video evidence by investigating detectives produced a suspect description of a Black male wearing a black shirt, black hat, distinct gray jeans, and white shoes wearing a face mask. . A security camera captures the suspect following Shaw into 1600 block Delano Court.
After a few minutes, security camera footage captured the suspect running out of the residence with what appears to be a firearm in his right hand immediately after the shooting.
Numerous security cameras including CitiWatch, private business cameras, Metropolitan Transit Authority bus cameras, among others developed a suspect description. Witnesses identified the suspect and killed. Shaw and wounded a second victim as a person said to be. Freddie Pritchett
