North Franklin Street Shooting Grazes Victim

On July 27, at around 3:02 a.m., Baltimore Police Department (BPD) officers responded to the 600 block of North Calhoun Street to investigate a call for a shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers observed a 43-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening graze wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for his injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that he was shot on the 1400 block of West Franklin Street.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Update: As of Aug. 16, BPD has removed this incident from the non-fatal shooting numbers because investigators determined the victim was not shot.
