The trial of a 31-year-old Baltimore man was postponed on Sept. 19 for a non-fatal shooting in May.

Ervin Dantzler, who is represented by defense attorney Joseph Owens, was initially scheduled to begin a jury trial on Thursday before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Robert K. Taylor Jr. However, his case was sent to Judge Melissa M. Phinn’s reception court for a postponement.

The defendant is currently charged with firing a gun in the city, having a loaded handgun on his person, illegal possession of ammunition and reckless endangerment as well as two counts of firearm possession with a felony conviction.
