A Baltimore man charged with a non-fatal shooting was offered a plea during reception court on Sept. 15 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
The 32-year-old man is charged with first and second-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, reckless endangerment, and discharging a gun.
Judge Melissa M. Phinn listened as the prosecution presented a plea of 15 years, suspending all but two years, and three years of supervised probation for first-degree assault.
The defendant’s Hick’s date is Oct. 11; however, it is unclear if he waived his right for a Hick’s date. According to Maryland law, a defendant has the right to be tried within 180 days of his first court appearance.
The defendant’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 16 in reception court.
