On June 26, in Baltimore City Circuit Court, a non-fatal shooting defendant was not transported to court and was given a new plea offer.

Terrell Warren, 37, is charged with firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a firearm without a serial number, illegal possession of ammunition and firing and discharging a gun in an incident that occurred on Nov. 27, 2023.

Before Judge Barry G. Williams, Warren’s attorney, Derrick G. Hamlin, told the judge and the prosecution that Warren had not been transported to court Wednesday, resulting in a postponement.  The prosecution also announced a new plea offer for Warren.

In reception court before Judge Melissa K. Copeland, the prosecutor read the offer into the record. The plea is for five years with parole for illegal possession of a registered firearm and a concurrent year for possession of a firearm without a serial number.

Hamlin requested to talk to Warren about the new plea offer and is now scheduled to appear on July 26 before Judge Charles M. Blomquist, who has also been overseeing Warren on probation for a 2021 charge of illegal possession of a registered firearm.
