A 33-year-old woman involved in a non-fatal shooting accepted a plea of time served with one year of supervised probation on Feb. 3 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.

The defendant is charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, use of a firearm in a violent crime, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and discharging a firearm within the city of Baltimore.

On Thursday, Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of one year suspending all but time served with one year supervised probation for discharging a firearm within the city of Baltimore.

Under the plea, the defendant must register as a gun offender.

The defendant and her defense attorney, Maureen O’Leary, accepted the plea.

According to court documents, on Aug. 14 at approximately 3:54 a.m., officers were called to the 1400 block of Mountmor Court where the defendant came into contact with an unknown person. The defendant stated “you know what time it was.” The defendant was engaged in a gunfight with the unknown person, using a 12-gauge shotgun.

Once police arrived at the scene, they found multiple gunshot rounds throughout the house, but no individuals inside.

Officers made contact with the suspect at Mercy Hospital.

Prior to the incident, the defendant had not been taking her prescribed medication for mental illness for the past 18 months.
