Counsel in the case of a man charged with murder discussed a lack of discovery received from the Baltimore Police Department that they said is required for a trial that scheduled to begin in six weeks.

William Holland, 28, is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted armed carjacking, two counts of attempted armed robbery, attempted first-degree muder, and other assault and firearm charges.

A colleague standing in for Holland’s defense attorney, Megan Lewis, and the prosecution said that they are waiting for police body camera footage, financial records, and gun examination reports.

A trial is scheduled for Nov. 17, but it was noted that with this amount of discovery not ready, counsel would likely not be ready for the scheduled trial date.
