Murder Defendant Must Wait a Bit Longer for Retrial Date Due to Sick Judge

A murder defendant whose trial in November ended in a hung jury had his reception court hearing to scheduled a retrial date pushed on Dec 2.

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn, who normally covers reception court, was ill on the day of the hearing which caused the matter to be held until a later date.

Tryone White is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, firearm possession with a felony conviction and second-degree murder in connection to an incident on Oct. 2, 2017.

His hearing will be continued on Dec. 16 before Judge Phinn.
