On Dec. 2, 2022, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Joseph Bright was shot while on the 100 block of West Hamburg Street.
On Oct. 16, almost a year since the shooting, the 62-year-old died at an area hospital. The victim’s remains were transported to the Medical Examiner’s office, where his death was ruled a homicide caused by the gunshot injuries sustained in December 2022.
