A 26-year-old man told the prosecution that he wasn’t interested in a plea during reception court on Sept. 29 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.

Andrew Harvey, Jr., is accused of the killing of Tyrone McCray-Bey Jr. on the 2100 block of Baker Street on May 23, 2020. He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, and firearm possession with a felony conviction.

The prosecution offered a plea of life for one count of first-degree murder, and 20 years for firearm possession with a felony conviction, to be served concurrently.

The defense attorneys representing Harvey, Gregory Fischer and Durriyyah Hollimon, said that even though this was their first time hearing this offer, Harvey was uninterested in taking it.

A trial was set for March 3, 2022.
