A 30-year-old man charged with five firearm-related charges was offered a plea during reception court on Sept. 23 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
The Baltimore man is charged with firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a firearm, having a handgun on his person, discharging firearms, and illegal possession of ammo.
The prosecution offered him three years in prison for firearm possession with a felony conviction.
The defendant, who is currently at a drug treatment facility, needed to discuss the offer with his defense attorney, Brandon Taylor, who was in a trial and not present during Thursday’s hearing.
However, there was an attorney, Amy Stone, who stood in for Taylor.
Judge Melissa Copeland set a trial date for Jan. 26, 2022.
